I recently purchased the Vivosun 3-in-1 Soil Tester. This tester is the perfect tool to keep track of your plant’s growing conditions relating to the soil’s moisture, pH, and how much light your plants are getting.

So What is a 3-in-1 Soil Tester

The 3-in-1 Soil tester tests soil moisture, soil pH, and amount of light at the plant site.

Measures the acidity or alkalinity of the soil

The pH range is 3.5 to 8. with 3.5 -6.5 being acidic, a reading of 7 being neutral, and 7 – 8 being alkali. This lets you know if you will need to add lime or sulfur to correct the pH.

Checks the watering condition of the soil

The moisture range is 1 to 10: 1 – 3 Dry; 4 – 7 Normal, and 8 – 10 Wet. I am very good at drowning my plants, so this alone makes the tester worth it.

Senses the light, or sunlight, that the plant is receiving

The relative light range is 0 to 2000 lux: 0 – 200 low light; 200 – 500 Low+ light; 500 – 1000 Normal light; 1000 – 2000 High amount of light. Most vegetable plants like Normal to High amount of light.
